"Today’s graduation marks the completion of one chapter of your leadership journey and the beginning of another," said Chief Operating Officer Jackie Ford, speaking from the podium at the graduation. "The Key Women’s Leadership Academy has had a much stronger impact than any of us had anticipated."
The Key Women’s Leadership Academy is about developing a more transformational and inspirational style of leadership. A style of leadership that fosters women and girls to really strive to be the best they can be and to bring about positive change. The leadership academy is a highly interactive program that helps redesign a woman's leadership from the inside out.
The goal of the Key Women’s Leadership Academy is to offer women the opportunity to take an active role in their leadership development with a youth leadership focus.
Through this program, the women have:
"We believe that being an extraordinary leader is more about who you are and how well you harness the resources in your environment," said Ford. "Through this program, you’ve had the opportunity to look at your own leadership skills, and think about how you can impact the next generation of leaders."
In closing, Jackie Ford said, "Through the Key Women’s Leadership Academy, we have the potential to transform the movement, to make it relevant to girls and also to the adults participating. We hope that you will translate your learning into action and inspire your peers and our girls to live out their potential."
