Due to recent inquiries from our membership about deadlines as they pertain to submitting proposals or revisions to our GSNEO Code of Regulations, the GSNEO Board of Directors recently approved a procedure that you should be aware. It is as follows:
All proposed amendment(s) or revision(s) to the Code of Regulations to be submitted by a member for consideration by the General Assembly must be submitted in writing to the Chair of the Board not less than sixty (60) calendar days prior to a regularly called meeting of the General Assembly, which includes the Annual Meeting and one additional meeting.
All proposed amendment(s) or revision(s) to the Code of Regulations to be submitted by a member for consideration by the General Assembly must be submitted in writing to the Chair of the Board at the same time the Chair receives a written request of the majority of the Board members or the majority of the members of the General Assembly to convene a special meeting.
The 2014 Spring Meeting of the General Assembly was held on Saturday, April 12, 2014.

Attention all Girl Scout of North East Ohio members, age 14 and older:
The 2014 Girl Scout National Convention Session/53rd Convention promises to be an historic event. Over the course of four days, a transformed and vibrant Girl Scout Movement will take the national stage in Salt Lake City, Utah, October 16-19, 2014.
Girl Scouts of North East Ohio has elected 19 National Delegates and 1 Alternate to represent our council at the National Council Session & Convention.
National Delegates serve as voting members of the National Council of Girl Scouts of the United States of America for a term of three (3) years and attend the 2014 National Council Session/53rd Convention to conduct the business of the national Girl Scout organization.
The election of National Delegates was held at the GSNEO General Assembly on Saturday, April 12, 2014.

Membership Delegates are the "Voice of the Members" to the GSNEO Board of Directors and, leadership staff. Delegates are the channel of two-way communication on governance matters, bring the concerns of the membership to the attention of the Board of Directors and leadership staff. Their role is very similar to that of elected representatives in state & federal government.
Membership Delegate were instrumental contributors in the recent revision to the GSNEO Code of Regulations (bylaws), Operational Volunteer policies, Volunteer Finance policies, Vision 2012 property review and the work of the Process Improvement Teams.
Membership Delegates have voting rights in the GSNEO General Assembly body and vote in the election of the Board of Directors, Board Development Committee and National Delegates as well as all amendments to the Code of Regulations and other matters requiring a vote.
Who can be a Membership Delegate? Any currently registered member, 14 years of age and older, is eligible. We still have vacancies available. All vacancies are filled by appointment by the Board of Directors. If you or some one you know is interested in becoming a delegate please email email@example.com.
